IMU는 1992년 College로 개교해서 1999년 정식 University로 승격된 말레이시아 최초의 트위닝 의과대학입니다. 현재 북미, 영국, 호주, 뉴질랜드, 아일랜드등의 26개 대학과 Partner 관계로 다양한 프로그램을 진행하고 있으며 학생들의 실습을 위해서 Seremban 과 Batu Pahat 병원에 Clinical School을 운영하고 있습니다. 현재 진행중인 프로그램은 의학(Medicine), 간호학(Nursing), 심리학(Psychology), 치의학(Dentistry), 식품영양학(Nutrition & Dietetics), 생의학(Medical Biotechnology), 심리학(Psychology), 생의학과학(Biomedical Science), 제약학(Pharmaceutical Chemistry)과가 있습니다.

학교는 쿠알라 룸푸르 시내에서 남쪽으로 약 25분 거리에 있는 Bukit Jalil 지역에 위치하고 있습니다.
학생수
말레이시아 자국학생들은 물론 싱가포르, 미얀마, 레바논, 요르단, 스리랑카, 인도네시아, 인도, 중국, 대만, 태국, 몰디브, 케냐, 모리셔스등에서 온 약2,000명이 재학중이며 이중 약 5%가 외국인으로 최근들어 한국학생들의 입학도 늘어나고 있는 추세다.

IMU 본교와 Seremban병원과 Batu Pahat병원에 Clinical School을 갖고 있어서 학생들이 실습할 수 있습니다.
입학절차 및 인터뷰
IMU입학은 전공마다 그 기준이 차이가 있으며 일반전공에 비해 높은 학력수준과 별도의 인터뷰를 통해 선발하고 있다. 입학에 필요한 학력자격은 ‘A’레벨, IB, 캐나다 또는 호주의 대학 예비과정 이상의 학력을 요구하며 예비과정에서의 과목과 각 과목의 성적 역시 중요한 입학기준이 된다. 또한 영어수준 역시 IELTS 기준 6.5이상의 실력을 요구한다.
입학신청서류는 천 입학신청서, 여권사본, 여권사진 8매, 성적증명서등이 필요합니다.
